Leading on Equity and Equality: Member Dialogue on IWF Chicago’s 2021 Priorities and Leadership Pledge
Lynn Osmond and Kendra Coleman, the IWF Chicago Equity & Equality Task Force Co-Chairs, invite you to connect with fellow IWF members to learn more about and provide input on our 2021 Priorities and Leadership Pledge.
In November 2020, the IWF Chicago Board unanimously approved recommendations made by the Equity and Equality Task Force to actionize our mission of Advancing Women’s Leadership and Championing Equality Worldwide. For 2021 and beyond, the board has committed to focus on four areas:
- Increasing representation within IWF Chicago
- Creating intimate learning experiences for members focused on Equity & Equality
- Contributing to building the executive women’s leadership pipeline in Chicago
- Supporting women to maintain, return to, and advance their careers
It will take all of us to impact these priority areas. Please join us on Tuesday, January 19, 5:00pm – 6:00pm, to hear further details about our priorities, and to help us shape the IWF Chicago Priorities and Leadership Pledge that will formally be launched on Tuesday, January 26th. Small moderated breakout rooms will be utilized to encourage participation and allow for all voices to be heard.
Our aim: to work individually and together in deliberate ways that further allow us to lead on advancing women’s leadership, and championing equality worldwide. We look forward to you joining the conversation!
Note: The recommendations and resulting leadership pledge were informed by research including Women in the Workplace 2020 study. We have provided a link to this resource in case you would like to review ahead of our conversation.
